Zorderz is open source field service management software for WordPress, built so a business can connect the systems it already runs, like invoicing and CRM, and give its team proper access to those tools.
Out of the box, Zorderz is a blank slate
Zorderz installs on an ordinary WordPress site and gives you a web app with a dashboard. Each app there does one job, usually automating a process by connecting services you already use.
Eventually it should connect to the APIs of your choice and configure itself. Not yet; that’s what a future version is for. Field service management software should work with what you have, not ask you to replace it.
No CRM or invoicing software? Fine. Zorderz doesn’t include them, but apps like the pricing guide and knowledge base stand alone and connect later. Start with nothing but Zorderz: it has a business chat, so the moment your site runs you can ask it what to do next.
Designed around your business
Every business has actions that must occur under certain conditions. Employee X can sell product Y, only in zone Z. Those are variables the system knows how to apply. That’s conditional logic, and it runs throughout Zorderz.
Users sit in a hierarchy: one person can be chief of another, wholly or just for a product line or service type. Each level carries its own rules, so you describe what you want and it becomes logic the system applies.
Bring your own intelligence
Ai in Zorderz currently relies on a connected Poe account. Eventually OpenCode, and eventually a local LLM on a machine in your own office, so much of it can run with no API at all.
How did Zorderz start?
In March 2026, as one private company’s internal app. It worked well enough that a version any company could use ought to exist, so I started lifting out the specifics.
I don’t know who will use it yet. Anyone comfortable with WordPress can install it and find out. And, I’m gradually learning that an Ai can install a WordPress site start to finish, so we may ship a README an agent can work from as easily as a person. We’ll design for both.
What to call this software category?
A variety of words describe this software, listed here as a record for my future reference: “field service management software,” “service business management software,” “job management software,” “work order software,” “small business management software,” “company management software,” “client portal software,” “back office software,” “business operating system,” “open source ERP,” “self hosted CRM,” and “white label employee app.”
How zorderz.org works
This website chronicles the effort to build Zorderz into a framework others can use. Articles get written by a human dictating his thoughts and an Ai interpreting them, back and forth, every pass kept public at the bottom of the page.
What does Zorderz mean?
The name is about orders: making them so easy you could generate them in your sleep.
Feel free to contribute to this project so it gets better for everybody.
