Field Service Management Software, Open Source: Zorderz

Zorderz is open source field service management software for WordPress. Most businesses already use good tools that don’t talk to each other. Zorderz is the hub that connects what you already pay for and puts it in one app your team wants to open.

Out of the box, Zorderz is a blank slate

If you already run a CRM and invoicing software, Zorderz should read them and build the matching structure inside your install, automatically-ish, so the same names carry across. Think of it as handing Zorderz the Cliff’s Notes on your business. That’s the future, not today. A field service management platform should work with what you have instead of replacing it.

No CRM or invoicing yet? Fine. We aren’t building our own; WordPress is the wrong place for it. The apps we are building, like the pricing guide and knowledge base, stand alone and connect to your systems later.

It models the business you already run

Every business needs certain actions to happen under certain conditions, and Zorderz lets you set that up. Call it conditional logic. Designate someone a chief, then say who they’re chief of: one service type, one product line, or that person in general. Each level carries its own rules. If you can describe it, you can build it: this employee does that task during these hours, unless an admin says so.

Bring your own intelligence

Ai inside Zorderz is bring your own intelligence. Today that means Poe, since one key reaches nearly every model worth using. Next comes OpenCode, then local LLMs through things like MCP. Anecdotally: $20 in Poe has covered roughly 10,000 calls, and we spend about $2 a day, mostly testing. Yours will differ.

Where this field service management software came from

In March 2026, Zorderz started as one private company’s internal app. It worked well enough that a version any company could use ought to exist, so I started lifting out the specifics.

I don’t know who will use it yet, or why. Anyone comfortable with WordPress can install it and find out. And I’m learning that an Ai can install a WordPress site start to finish, so we’ll ship a README written for an agent as much as a person. An Ai agent is a user we design for.

What to call it

People describe this category a dozen ways. For the record, and so I stop checking a spreadsheet: field service management software, service business management software, job management software, work order software, small business management software, company management software, client portal software, back office software, a business operating system, open source ERP, a self hosted CRM, and a white label employee app.

How zorderz.org works

I dictate an article into a voice memo. It goes to Claude Fable 5, with max thinking and web access on, and comes back written. Then I read it and dictate again: what matters, what to cut, what to add, what I want verbatim. Every pass stays public at the bottom of this page. Writing used to mean typing and practiced phrasing. Now it can be free association, then keeping the best of what got said out loud.

The name is about orders: making them so easy you could generate them in your sleep, because the platform handles the parts that used to need you awake.

I’m still working out whether this should be a public benefit corporation or an LLC, and what to sell, if anything. Training, maybe, though that fades the moment an Ai can configure it for you. Community first.
