Zorderz is live!

The first public version of Zorderz is v1.1, and it is available on GitHub now.

Zorderz is free and open source field service management software for WordPress.

How to try Zorderz

On GitHub you will find two folders: Zorderz, the theme, and Zorderz-apps, the plugin.

Download both, compress each into a .zip, then install the theme first and the plugin second.

Both files are ready to install exactly in the order just described.

In WordPress, open “Appearance,” then “Themes,” then “Add New,” then “Upload Theme.”

Choose your Zorderz.zip, install it, and click “Activate.”

Then open “Plugins,” then “Add New,” then “Upload Plugin.”

Choose Zorderz-apps.zip, install it, and click “Activate.”

Install the theme before the plugin, because the theme sets up everything the apps plug into.

Next, open “Settings,” then “Permalinks,” and choose “Post name.”

Then visit your homepage, and Zorderz will ask you for information about your business.

If you already have a Zorderz configuration file, you can import it here.

Zorderz can be installed by anyone comfortable using and setting up a WordPress website from scratch.

If you are reading this and feel you can install it, you are the ideal candidate, even without knowing for sure that is true.

What’s in Zorderz v1.1

The Zorderz theme and its plugin set are made up of eighteen apps.

• Analytic Chat: an Ai assistant that connects the apps and runs research and analytics for you.
• Camera: captures photos directly into a shared media store.
• Commission: determines compensation and commissions for users.
• Estimates: builds customer estimates from catalog items.
• Game: something to play during downtime while waiting for long chat results.
• Invoices: drafts and sends invoices through a connected billing provider.
• Jobs: tracks work to be done by individual users.
• Knowledge Base: a searchable document repository of company facts and information.
• Leads: finds and qualifies opportunities within your existing customer database.
• Media: browses and manages photos and graphics, including those captured with Camera.
• Prep: a fabrication and preparation visualizer for cutting shapes out of larger shapes.
• Quick-ID: a shareable business card that fills the device’s screen.
• Receipts: itemized receipts with photo documentation.
• Scheduler: connects Google and Microsoft calendars into a shared company calendar.
• Sketch: freehand sketches and marked-up drawings.
• Stock: inventory knowledge and stock checks.
• Surveys: a follow-up satisfaction survey that collects online reviews from customer jobs.
• Team: internal messaging with any user of the Zorderz platform.

By default, these apps do not know anything about your business.

You configure them within your own Zorderz system, and they become more valuable the more you use them.

Claude helped build Zorderz

A human wrote virtually none of the code for Zorderz.

Claude, a large language model from the company Anthropic, wrote essentially all of it, guided by me, Carleton Torpin.

The work took about four months, starting around February 2026, first as a private app for my own company, then rebuilt into a general version any company can use.

The goal of open sourcing Zorderz is to have it grow faster because of its community.

A user could raise a problem or an improvement, then build it with the community’s help.

Continual improvement of Zorderz

Zorderz v1.1 is the first step in a product that may never be finished.

Here are two examples of features coming to Zorderz:

• Zorderz-to-Zorderz sharing, so two businesses can grant each other permissioned access to shared data through an API.
• An independent plugin marketplace, where anyone can build a useful Zorderz plugin and earn recurring revenue as installs grow, much like WordPress already works.
